Severe thunderstorm hits Scone - 8 February 2007 Widespread thunderstorm activity occurred across the region yesterday afternoon. Gale force winds brought down trees and up roof buildings in Scone. Small hail observed in northern areas of Lake Macquarie. |

Coolest December in 7 years - 1 January 2007 December 2006 was the coolest December since 1999. Williamtown equalled its record low average minimum temperature for the month of December. Mean Temperatures were approximetely 1°C below average. |

Wintery cold front brings snow - 16 November 2006 A significant cold front passed through the region overnight, bringing snow to higher grounds. Temperatures dropped to below 10°C this morning. It was the first time there has been November snow on the Barrington Tops since 1996. |
