Last night was the warmest August night recorded in the Hunter since August 30, 1995. The 24 hour minimum temperatures were near record braking with Williamtown equalling its highest August minimum ever of 15.2°C. The previous record in Williamtown was recorded in the morning of the 22nd of August 1995. Scone recorded a minima of 13.3°C this morning, which is  9.1°C above its long term average.
